Mission Coffee Returns to the Short North

by admin

After a four-year hiatus, Mission Coffee has returned to the Short North! This week the roaster returned to its original shop on Price Avenue, just off High Street.

The intervening years have been eventful for Mission. After closing its original shop in the fall of 2020, it was purchased by the owners of Blank Slate Coffee in Gahanna, which merged the businesses into a new shop and roastery on South High Street next to The Fort.

The space has gone through a few iterations since that time, but when the opportunity came up to re-open there, the owners took it. It’s a little sparse in there over the soft opening, which is understandable, but they’re back in action.

The menu so far has featured espresso drinks, cold brew, draft lattes, some specialty lattes, and a mocktail.

We sampled a shot of espresso using their Kodiak blend, a cortado, and a draft orange blossom latte – all very good!

You can purchase bags of their beans as well.

Their opening week hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., but keep an eye on their social media for updates.

Welcome back, Mission!
