Kape Coffee is an Asian-inspired coffee pop-up that’s appeared at various locations over the past year or so, from Leisure Club to Bonifacio to The Branch co-working space. And now they’ve found their latest home: the taproom at Wolf’s Ridge Brewing!
I love the pairing of bars and coffee shops, and how they can utilize great spaces during the day, so I’m excited to see this new collaboration (and so close to my day job!).
Kape Coffee features pour overs, espresso, and a round of signature drinks like yuja tonic, matcha latte, and black sesame latte, as well as rotating specials.
The open setup behind the bar lets you watch all the coffee preparation.
As this was my first visit, I took their suggestion and tried the black sesame latte.
The latte is rich and nutty, with sesame seeds in the mix itself. They said to stir it occasionally as you’re enjoying it, to keep everything from settling out. Even though I tend toward slightly sweeter drinks, I appreciated this one.
I sampled a shot of espresso, too. Wonderfully pulled and very aptly described as a “fruit bomb” by Kiujoy, one of the owners.
The Wolf’s Ridge taproom is ideal for this setup, as it offers plenty of space for working, meeting, or just hanging out.
And they feature a long, shaded patio along the side of the building!
Kape Coffee is currently popping up Wednesday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
