There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:
- After more than 12 years in business, The Pint Room in Dublin has closed down. The burger and beer bar was located in The Shoppes at River Ridge, at 4415 W. Granville Rd. Its sister concept The Half Pint still has one location left in downtown Marysville (a former Half Pint location in Old Worthington is now home to the Worthington Tavern).
- Mikey’s Late Night Slice debuted its newest location this week at 1839 N. Pearl St. near Ohio State’s campus. The full-service store features their signature pizzas and sauces, supplemented by a full bar. Read more about the new Mikey’s location here!
- After a long wait, Jennings Java Coffee Roasters is finally opening its own coffee shop in Merion Village. Located at 116 E. Moler St., in the original Bake Me Happy space, the shop features espresso, brewed coffee, tea, snacks, and whole bean coffee. It will open to the public on Sunday, Oct. 27. Read more about Jennings Java’s new space here!
- A pair of ghost kitchens inside the High Street Kitchens in Clintonville are teaming up on a new deli in Franklinton, titled simply the Franklinton Deli. The teams behind Layered Brew and Clintonville Deli will open the combined space at 132 McDowell St., in an old home next to the Land-Grant Extension. It’s slated to open by the end of this year or early next.
- Indian Spice Restaurant and Bar will celebrate its grand opening at 1111 Hill Rd. N. in Pickerington this Saturday, Oct. 26.
- After Fukuryu Ramen transitioned its Polaris location into carryout only, it officially closed it recently and replaced it with a new upscale Japanese concept called Haru Omakase. You can find the restaurant at 2027 Polaris Pkwy. (Thanks to the Columbus Food Adventures crew for the tip about this one!)
- The new Grandview Heights Farmers Market launches this Saturday, Oct. 26 at Larson Middle School (1600 W. First Ave.). The market is set to run once a month, October through April.
- This Saturday Oct. 26 at 10 a.m., the Hot Mess sandwich stall at Hilliard’s Center Street Market is hosting at Halloween Haunt brunch with Crooked Can Brewing.
