There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:
- Bite This By Annie debuts her new Clintonville storefront at 3009 N. High St. this Saturday, July 13, offering a brick and mortar location to score bagel bombs, brownies, Pub Grub, and other goodies. Read the full story on her place here!
- After closing earlier this year, Red Rabbit Ramen reopens today – Friday, July 12 – at Echo Spirits’ cocktail bar. The new owners Blaine Carr and Xavy Perez purchased the cart from the Ramsey family, who closed it this past February when they moved out of state.
- Lion Cub’s Cookies and Maple Street Biscuits in Worthington are teaming up for a special brunch dish on July 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The dish includes two Lion Cub’s French toast cookies paired with Maple Street’s fried chicken, strawberries, and cream. Guests who want to try it will need to pre-order it starting on Wednesday, July 17 at 8 a.m.
- Fukuryu Ramen teased a new concept called Milky Way Matcha Bar that’s coming sometime this month. The first location will open attached to its Dublin Bridge Park store at 4540 Bridge Park Ave.
- The Capital Grille steakhouse chain announced that its Columbus location will open on Sunday, July 28 at 1827 Olentangy River Rd. It’s located in the former Champps space in the Lennox plaza.
- The Kitchen shared that its executive chef Dustin just launched a new ice cream line called The Dusty Touch.
- Columbus Independents restaurant group launched its latest gift certificate sale this week.
- The Columbus Food Truck Festival returns downtown this Friday and Saturday, July 12-13, on the Scioto Peninsula.
- 614 Now shared the news that Alpine and El Lugar in German Village have closed.
- Doran’s Farm Market in New Albany announced that it will be closing after more than 50 years in business. It’s located at 5462 Babbit Rd.; its last day will be Thursday, July 18.
- This week Jeni’s Ice Creams announced a new collaboration ice cream with Major League Soccer. Cookies & Cleats was created in celebration of the upcoming MLS All-Star Game, taking place on July 24 at Lower.com Field. The new ice cream will be available at Jeni’s shops in Columbus, and at a special fan festival at McFerson Commons July 20-21. On July 22, an MLS-branded ice cream truck will also be delivering free tastes around the city.
