Just over a year ago, the former Dan’s Drive-In on the South Side was transformed into Tio’s Diner, a family-run Mexican spot that features Mexican dishes alongside some classic American breakfasts.
The space still feels like the old drive-in, with some updates to the decor.
On the breakfast menu you’ll find traditional American breakfasts like eggs and bacon, pancakes, French toast, steak and eggs. But definitely seek out more of the Mexican breakfasts, like this huevos a la Mexicana with scrambled eggs, chorizo, veggies, rice, and beans.
Or the breakfast burrito with chorizo and a side of hash browns!
