Columbus, we have a new option for pastries! The first Columbus location of Paris Baguette, a South Korea-based chain that opened at Easton last month.
It takes over the former LemonShark Poke & Makai Grill, which closed in early 2022, transforming it into a bright and airy space decorated in blues and whites.
Paris Baguette is reminiscent of local favorite Belle’s Bread or Tous les Jours bakery, another South Korean-based chain that features cases filled with sweet and savory pastries. You simply grab a tray and a pair of tongs, then load up!
The fun thing about these bakeries is that you can load up a full tray or just sample a couple things, and you’ll find something for everyone, from donuts…
…to croissants.
Some pastries are served cold, while some are kept warm on the shelves. This is true of many of the savory tarts and croissants.
We snagged a mix that include mochi donuts, custard donuts, pain au chocolate, and fruit tarts.
I liked this very rich ham and cheese croissant.
And the croissant donuts, like this one loaded with a coffee pastry cream.
And these beautiful little fruit tarts.
And this just scratches the surface! More pastries are constantly being restocked. And they feature prepared sandwiches, cakes, and a full coffee and tea bar.
Paris Baguette is supposedly eyeing more locations in Columbus, including one near Ohio State’s campus!
Paris Baguette is currently open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
